Tell us a bit about yourself, how long have you been producing, what styles of music are you into?

My artist name is Klangfrequenz and I'm a DJ/Producer/Engineer and also run Black&White Orange Records. I've been producing for 5 years now and my biggest passion is without a doubt pounding Deep and Tech House.

What was your main idea when starting the production of this pack?

First of all I wanted to create samples for the all levels of music producers and display my passion for deep, techy and melodic sounds. My second idea was also to be able to use these samples in live DJ sets with digital DJ programs such as Traktor and Ableton Live. I believe that you could enhance your DJ set when you are adding samples, use effects and mixing them with tracks that are currently playing. As a DJ myself, and a passionate Traktor and Ableton Live user, I wanted to create a sample pack that is more than just a music production tool, instead I wanted to make it a great additional tool for the digital DJ too.

You have had several major releases - a busy guy...what artists have influenced you along the way?

There are too many names to list here but overall my music is influenced by all sorts of styles and artists. I'm very interested in cross-genre productions and I'm working with various musicians and singers to create tracks based on a different background than House/Techno music. That's what inspires me the most and influences me constantly for new ideas.

What do you think about the current music scene and the way it is evolving?

It definitely changed a lot during the past 10 years especially with the whole digitalization revolution… but in my opinion it's evolving in a very interesting and positive way. All the technology available nowadays gives you as a DJ or Producer, unlimited possibilities to create and perform your music, and as I am very passionate about technology, I always like to try out new ideas, which, back in the day, would have never been possible with just 2 turntables! I believe it's the way to go!
