Who is Prime Loops?

Prime Loops is an passionate music team that consists of talented musicians, experienced sound technicians, DJ's, Producers and studio engineers. We take pride in providing original, professional and unique sounds that are exclusive to Prime Loops.

Our aim is to provide modern, crystal clear sounds for the creative producer, utilizing state of the art, modern studio equipment, and years of experience, to present outstanding quality sound suites for total inspiration.

Can I use your loops in commercial projects and releases?

Yes. All our loops & samples are 100% royalty free, once you purchase one of our sound suites you have purchased your lifetime personal license to use those loops & samples in your productions and songs, whether for TV, Film, Advertising, Record releases, Albums or Demo's. Unlike with other providers, you don't have to go through samples clearance when you release your music; you have your license already! You can sell these songs for profit at no extra cost to you, and keep 100% of your royalties.

What formats do you have other than .wav?

All our sound suites are multi-format, you can choose which format is best for you before purchasing on any product page.

We believe it is important that you can access sounds quickly and efficiently, and this is why we will keep up to date with all the latest formats used by all hardware and software at any time. All sound suites available from our website currently come in the following formats:

DETAILED REFERENCE:

.WAV - The most commonly used audio format compatible with 99% of software/Hardware, PC & Mac. Here is a list of some of the most popular applications that use the .wav format. CLICK HERE

REX2 – Rex2 files are very popular due their flexibility. With Rex2 files they will sync to any tempo (within reason) and you can also re-arrange each element of the loop any way you choose. This format was initially intended for use with Propellerheads 'Reason' but can also be used in Stylus RMX (using the Sage converter) Digital Performer & earlier versions of Cubase, Logic, and many other applications. Also VST Samplers such as Halion & Kontakt among others.

.AIFF (Apple Loops) – These are loops most commonly used with Apple's Garageband Software. They contain tempo information and detailed note encryption enabling the host to adjust the track tempo dramatically with the loops still in-sync. Apple Loops can also be used in Logic & other applications.

.WAV (Acidised) The term 'Acidised' means the loops have been specially prepared for use with Sony 'Acid' Software. In acid you can import a loop at any tempo (within reason) and sync it with other Acidised loops.

AKAI MPC – For use with the entire Akai MPC range. These packs will include Loops and/or sampes for specifically designed for the MPC. You will find unique Drum Kits, Instruments pre-mapped onto the 16 pads, and special loops pre-cut into 'Chopshop' format (with the entire loop on Pad 1, and the loop pieces on Pads 2-16). Plus All the Original Loops in easy to load folders.

Stylus RMX Loops – These are REX2 Loops that have been specially treated for simple conversion into Stylus RMX with the Sage converter. All of our Stylus RMX Packs & REX2 Packs come with very easy to follow instructions on how to convert .rex2 loops into your Stylus RMX library with the Sage Converter. Check out the REX2 Section to find out more about what you can do with these loops.

Reason Refill – For use with Proppellerheads 'Reason' only. Refills either contain loops (generally in REX2 Format for use in the DR REX player) or patches for Reason synths such as Combinator, NN-XT, Thor and others. It is also worth noting that our Refills work with all versions of Reason!

Ableton Live Pack – For use with Ableton Live Only. This would either contains a selection of loops, samples, or patches (depending on what type of pack it is) for the Sampler, Electric, Kits for Drum Rack and others.

NN-XT – For use with the Reason NN-XT Sampler Only. These contain a range of sounds pre-mapped across the keys (which can be controlled via your MIDI Keyboard or controller). These could be Drum Kits, Bass, FX, Piano, Vocals....

HALION - For use with the Halion Sampler Series Only. These contain a range of sounds pre-mapped across the keys (which can be controlled via your MIDI Keyboard or controller). These could be Drum Kits, Bass, FX, Piano, Vocals

KONTAKT - For use with the Kontakt Sampler Series Only. These contain a range of sounds pre-mapped across the keys (which can be controlled via your MIDI Keyboard or controller). These could be Drum Kits, Bass, FX, Piano, Vocals

EXS24 - For use with the EXS24 Sampler in Logic Only. These contain a range of sounds pre-mapped across the keys (which can be controlled via your MIDI Keyboard or controller). These could be Drum Kits, Bass, FX, Piano, Vocals...

.SFZ – Patches/Samples compatible with Cakewalk and other applications. These contain a range of sounds pre-mapped across the keys (which can be controlled via your MIDI Keyboard or controller). These could be Drum Kits, Bass, FX, Piano, Vocals...

Is there a tempo & key reference for each loop?

Yes. Each file and folder contain tempo (BPM) information, and relevant note information (based on the root key or chord) for example, the folder may be called 'Orchestra Loops 95 Bpm' and each loop would contain tempo information written on the file, for example:

Grand_Strings_95_C_PL_3

'Grand_Strings_' is the name of the loop.
'_95_' indicates the tempo of the loop
'_C_' is a guideline to the Root key, or chord of the loop
'_PL_' Stands for, yes you guessed it...Prime Loops!
'_3' refers to the number the loop is, in this case it's the 3rd loop out of 4.

Other possible 'in-name' references:

'_E#chrom_' means the loop is in E Sharp or a chromatic scale
'_Gb_' means the loop is in G Flat scale
'Emaj_' means the loop is in E Major scale

*Tip/Note: If you want to change the tempo of a loop, most modern software has the ability to stretch and control the tempo of the loop. REX2 Loops, Apple Loops, Acid Loops & WAV Loops are VERY Flexible using the right programmes!

NOTE TO MPC USERS: MPC files are named slightly differently from above as any Akai MPC Samples & loops file name cannot be longer than 16 characters, therefore for files with names longer than 16 characters we have to shorten the name, for example:

Mania_Synth_90_C_PL

Would be something like:

Mania_Synth_9001
Mania_Synth_9002
Mania_Synth_9003

And so on...

How do I purchase your loops and samples?

Easy! Simply select the product you want to purchase, choose your format, click buy! Now you can choose to complete the payment process, or continue shopping for more products.

When you are ready, select the 'Checkout' button found in the shopping cart, and simply follow the online instructions. You can choose to pay securely through paypal or Worldpay (You don't need a paypal account to make payments.) Once the transaction is complete, you will be emailed a unique download link so you can start downloading your sound suite immediately

How do I download your loops?

It's easy! Once you have made your payment you will be automatically returned to our secure download center where you can download your purchase immediately, you will also be sent your download link to your email just in case!

Note: If you are using Paypal to purchase, your download link will be sent to your paypal email address only. If using Worldpay to purchase, please enter a valid email address you wish your download link to be sent to. You may also need to check your spam/junk folders depending on your email service provider (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail ect)

Will I be re-billed?

No. Once you have purchased your sound suite you have made a one off payment, and you can now use the royalty free loops in your productions.

Can I listen or download demo loops before I buy?

Yes! All of our sound suites contain downloadable or playable demo's on each loops pack page. We also have a dedicated free demos section where you can download loops from our packs and test them out before you purchase.

I'm using an Apple/Mac, can I still use your loops?

Yes. All our loops packs are both Apple Mac & PC Friendly!

Will my payments be secure?

Yes. Security is of the utmost importance to us; your details will not be submitted to any third parties that are kept by us at any time. Payments are made securely on a one-off payment basis with a choice of Worldpay, or Paypal. We also have a dedicated team of customer service representatives that will be happy to help you, anytime if you have any questions.

How do I access my loops & samples once I've finished downloading?

To save space on our servers, all our downloadable sound suites come in the .zip (zipped) format. You will need a program like Winzip (You can use the 'evaluation' version for free for as long as you want)

Once a file is zipped, the overall size of the folder is compressed (once zipped, a 200mb file may be 150mb…)

All our sample packs come as .zip downloads which means you can download your files faster, and more efficiently.
